What is Botulinum Toxin?
It is a toxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum (Clostridium botulinum type A Hall strain).
It has a paralyzing effect on the musculature, once the toxin has been dosed and administered in very small doses, it has been used to treat abnormal muscle contractures such as spasmodic torticollis (contraction of one of the neck muscles), blepharospasm (contraction forced eyelids), strabismus, etc.
