Bichectomy Indications
Care to have:
Before:
- Do dental cleaning 1 week before.
- Perform a blood count.
- Chlorhexidine rinses 5 days before and 10 days after.
- Take analgesics.
- Inject corticosteroid (dexamethasone) IM, 2 hrs before surgery.
- Eat moderately before surgery. Forbidden to stop eating.
- If you are hypertensive, diabetic, be controlled. In case of doubt, complete blood count and glycated glycemia.
- Report if you are a patient with osteoporosis, anticoagulation, a heart problem or any systemic complication.
- Light dinner the night before.
Then:
- Do not drink hot things like Coffee, Soups, Tea. (Must be warm or cold)
- No smoking, No liquor 1 week.
- Eating soft foods. Puree, pasta, chicken, fish, lasagna, hash, etc.
- Gently brush your teeth. Rinse without suction for 15 days.
- Do not carry out heavy tasks. (Do not lift heavy objects)
- Do not smear anything where the wound is. Ex: Zepol, Oxygenated Water.
- Do not rinse or swish. Eg: warm chamomile, warm water with salt. Prohibited.
- Not spit; Swallow the saliva
- Sneeze softly. Open mouth.
- Do not exercise. (Gym, crossfit, etc)
- Do not take things with a straw.
- Cloth + ice (cold) for 3 days every 15 minutes and on 4 days warm cloths.
- Control appointment after 8 days.
Very important.
• Perform ultrasonic cleaning and dental polishing 1 week before. To decrease tartar and bacterial plaque. Making healing faster due to the decrease in bacteria in the mouth.
