Complications
• Immediate post operative hematoma.
• Mediated postoperative abscess, prevention with antibiotics for 7 days.
• Transient paresthesia, due to compression of the buccal and zygomatic branches of the facial.
• Temporal trimus, due to excessive opening of the jaw.
• Paralysis of the branches of the facial nerve.
• Parotid duct stenosis, by injuring the Stenon duct.
• Facial asymmetry, when resecting different volumes of the Bichat Ball that the patient has.
